About NHPC: NHPC Limited presently has an installation base of 7071.2 MW from 24 power stations including 2 nos projects in JV mode. Considering the impediments faced during execution of these projects such as unfavourable geological conditions, difficult law and order problems, inaccessible and remote locations, the achievement so far is commendable. NHPC is presently engaged in the construction of 9 projects aggregating to a total installed capacity of 5999 MW which includes 2 hydro electric projects viz., 2000 MW Subansiri Lower HEP and 800 MW Parbati-II HEP and 1 solar Project of 40MW at Odisha being executed on ownership basis and 5 hydro projects and 1 solar project being executed through Subsidiary/ JV Companies viz., 500 MW Teesta-VI HE Project, 1000 MW Pakal Dul HE Project, 624 MW Kiru HE Project, 850 MW Ratle HE Project, 120 MW Rangit-IV HE Project and 65 MW Kalpi Solar Project. In addition, 15 Projects with aggregate capacity of 10787.1 MW are under clearance stage which includes 11 Schemes of NHPC’s own and 04 in JV mode. Further, 3 projects with aggregate capacity of 1130 MW are in S&I stage.

Qualification :- 

Graduate/Diploma Apprentice:

• The applicant should have passed the Degree/Diploma examination from any recognized institution as per ibid Act.
• The Applicant who will be completing 3 years 3 months after having passed the qualifying Degree/Diploma as on 01.01.2022 and who have acquired prior training/experience for more than one year are not eligible to apply under this notification.
• The absconded apprentice candidates from previous training are not eligible to apply.

ITI Apprentice:

• The applicant should have passed 10th Class under 10 + 2 system of education or its equivalent.
• The applicant should have passed ITI examination from the recognized institution in the respective trade as per Apprentice Act, 1961.
• The applicant should have completed minimum age of 14 years as on 01.01.2022.

Selection Process :-

• The selection of Apprentices shall be based on the basis of merit list prepared on the basis of marks secured in academics. Result awaited candidates need not to apply.
• Medical fitness:-The candidate will have to submit medical fitness certificate by the Competent Authority (Govt. Establishment) at the time of joining.
