IOCL Recruitment 2021 – Indian Oil Corporation Ltd has announced an online job notification for recruitment to the post of Technical and Non-Technical Apprentices. There are 480 vacancies are to be filled for these posts. Interested candidates who are all eligible for this recruitment can apply on or before 28 August 2021. The detailed eligibility and selection process are given below in detail.

Trade Apprentice (Fitter):

  • Matric with 2 (Two) year ITI (Fitter) course.

Trade Apprentice (Electrician):

  • Matric with 2 (Two) year ITI (Electrician) course.

Trade Apprentice (Electronic Mechanic):

  • Matric with 2 (Two) year ITI (Electronic Mechanic) course

Trade Apprentice (Instrument Mechanic):

  • Matric with 2 (Two) year ITI (Instrument Mechanic) course

Trade Apprentice (Machinist):

  • Matric with 2 (Two) year ITI (Machinist) course

Technician Apprentice (Mechanical):

  • 3 years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General and OBC & 45% in case of SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized Institute/ University

Technician Apprentice (Electrical):

  • 3 years Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General and OBC & 45% in case of SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized Institute/ University.

Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation):

  • 3 years Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General and OBC & 45% in case of SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized Institute/ University.

Technician Apprentice (Civil):

  • 3 years Diploma in Civil Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General and OBC & 45% in case of SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized Institute/ University.

Technician Apprentice (Electrical & Electronics):

  • 3 years Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General and OBC & 45% in case of SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized Institute/ University.

Technician Apprentice (Electronics):

  • 3 years Diploma in Electronics Engineering with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General and OBC & 45% in case of SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized Institute/ University.

Trade Apprentice (Accountant):

  • Graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks in aggregate for General and OBC’& 45% in case of SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates for reserved positions from a recognized Institute/ University.

Trade Apprentice-Data Entry Operator (Fresher):

  • Minimum 12th Pass (but below Graduate).

Trade Apprentice-Data Entry Operator (Skilled Certificate Holders):

  • Minimum 12th Pass (but below Graduate). Additionally, candidates should possess Skill Certificate of ‘Domestic Data Entry Operator’ for the training of less than one year issued by an awarding body recognized under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or any other authority recognized by the Central Government

Trade Apprentice-Retail Sales Associate (Fresher):

  • Minimum 12th Pass (but below Graduate).

Trade Apprentice-Retail Sales Associate (Skilled Certificate Holders):

  • Minimum 12th Pass (but below Graduate). Additionally, candidates should possess a Skill Certificate of ‘Retail Trainee Associate’ for the training of less than one year issued by an awarding body recognized under the National Skill Qualifications Framework or any other authority recognized by the Central Government.

Age Limit:

  • For General – 18 to 24 years

Upper age is relaxable by:

  • For OBC(NCL) – up to 3 years
  • For SC/ST – up to 5 years
  • For PWD – up to 10 years

IOCL Recruitment 2021 Selection Process:

  • The Selection shall be on the basis of performance of the candidates on the basis of marks obtained by them in the Written Test and meeting the notified eligibility criteria. The Written Test will be conducted with Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ’s) consisting of four options with one correct option.
  • Trade Apprentice (Fitter/Electrician/Electronic Mechanic/Instrument Mechanic/Machinist) & Technician Apprentice (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation/Civil/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics): Technical Acumen in relevant discipline: Generic Aptitude including Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Abilities, Basic English Language Skills
  • Trade Apprentice (Accountant): Generic Aptitude including Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Abilities, Basic English Language Skills
  • Trade Apprentice (Data Entry Operator): Generic Aptitude and Reasoning, General English, Numerical Aptitude, General Knowledge/Awareness
  • Trade Apprentice (Retail Sales Associate): Generic Aptitude, Reasoning Abilities, Basic English
